The Project

This multi-level sensor is designed to handle cases of emergency which occur in the shower and bathroom. The population of focus is the elderly.
The sensor is a work-alone device. It detects the presence of a person in the room, and immediately is alert to any danger, which can come by lack of movement for a period of time; a scream of loud noise; or an initiated button press.
In case of emergency, the device rings a short-timed alarm, before calling for emergency medical services. You are welcome to watch our full presentation of the device, and watch a video demonstration!

Hackathon

In 2021, the HUJI Hackathon was themed for finding solutions to the difficulties our community was experiencing since the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

220 students, divided into 40 teams, were working for 24 hours straight, trying to create technological projects from start to finish, answering different aspects of the implications of the virus, with a technological solution.

Three teams were picked for the first places. Our team got number one!
